I learned the Six Human Needs while learning Strategic Intervention from Robbins-Madanes™ Training. Simply being aware of these basic human needs will make you more aware of the need to fulfill them in a healthy and constructive manner.

But if achieving a greater sense of balance is as easy as recognizing our needs, then why aren't more people living a more rewarding life?

After all, people are naturally optimistic:

  • About 550,000 people will start a business this month.
  • Approximately 45,000,000 Americans go on a diet each year.
  • Approximately 6.8% of the U.S. population will get married this year.

I probably don't have to tell you how many of these people will fail in these endeavors. It's not their fault really, because most people are limited by the negative belief structure of their subconscious mind (and don't even know it).

The #1 Reason Why More People Don't Succeed:

The number one reason why most people don't succeed is their negative mindset. That's pretty obvious, right?

In fact, the majority of people living their dream will tell you that developing the right mindset is the key to their success.

But then, if living the dream is as simple as developing the right mindset, then why aren't more people successful? 

The Reason Might Surprise You...

The reality is that most people know what they need to do to be successful. They don't need a rah-rah session to pump them up and make them feel motivated.

The reason why most people fail to achieve their goals and dreams is because they don't realize that 88% of their actions and beliefs are controlled by the subconscious mind.

Which means that only about 12% of everything you do and say can be attributed to the conscious mind.

That means that the odds might be stacked against you from the start because the subconscious mind of most people is a myriad of negative beliefs and disempowering self-talk.

But it's not their fault, really, because the majority of the things we believe are based on a belief structure that developed while we were between the ages of two to nine years old. Which means that most people automatically respond to things from the perspective of a child. That explains a lot, doesn't it?

The first thing you might be wondering is whether you can be hypnotized. It's a question many people wonder while they ponder the idea of hypnosis. That's perfectly reasonable because there's a lot of hype and misdirection about what hypnosis is and is not. Which makes might make you curious about whether hypnosis will work for you.

This is funny because hypnosis is simply a natural state of focused concentration. Many people say that hypnosis is similar to meditation or guided imagery (but so much more powerful). Which is why I suggest that you think of Hypnosis as a tool that opens an imaginary door to the subconscious mind and enables us to bypass the critical faculty of the conscious mind.

You might be surprised to discover that most of us spend a good portion of every day in different states of hypnosis. In fact, the odds are that you're in a state of hypnosis right now, while you're reading the text on this page. People tend to have different trance states for everything they do.

It's likely that you go in and out of different hypnotic states quite easily, while talking with your boss, co-workers, wife (husband, lover, friend). And then, you probably experience more trance states while watching television, reading a book, or flipping (tripping?) through Facebook.

Many people say that hypnosis feels more like a day dream where they are more consciously aware of their choices. While other people say that hypnosis seems like those times when you wander from here to there, and later find yourself wondering how you got there (place, time distortion).

All of these experiences are actually different ways of describing the hypnotic state, that our minds enter into frequently throughout each and every day. Therefore, it's not really a question of whether Hypnosis Is Real, or whether you can be hypnotized, but rather "How you can I use hypnosis to enjoy life more fully?"

You know that drifting, kind of floating feeling that you feel, right before you enter deep sleep? Hypnosis feels a lot like that. However, it's more like those times when you fall asleep with the radio or television on in the background. You enter a lucid state of hyper awareness while listening to the sound of my voice. Which by the way, makes you feel very calm and relaxed.

At the same time, you will understand every word, and be consciously aware of each and every moment. And yet, all the while, you still might feel like you're in a dream. Because at that moment, you're experiencing the power of the subconscious mind. Which is what enables us to create positive change in our lives so quickly. Imagine the (unlimited) possibilities!
